Hi,
I'd like to know if i can pay for monthly subscription with Paysera Vesa card ? is it acceptable by Shopify ?
P.S: the card currency is EUR
Thank you
I am using Shopify Payments, and my store is set to USD. I have one quick question. Whenever someone completes a purchase using a foreign currency, is there not a foreign transaction fee to convert that foreign currency to USD? If so, then who ends up paying for that fee, the buyer or the seller? If the buyer uses a credit card, there generally is a foreign transaction fee when making foreign purchases using different currency, so does that answer the question?
To give you some context, I am using a currency display app which displays the price of my products in their currency for their convenience. However, it does not process the payments in their currency. So when they enter the checkout, it displays the prices right back in USD. The app is essentially for display purposes only.
Is there any method available to send a failed transaction to a second processor automatically?
Hi there!
Stephanie here from Shopify.
I'm afraid that currently, we don't accept Paysera Vesa cards.
We do accept all major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard and Amex. Hopefully in the near future, we will accept multiple forms of payment for our subcription!
Feel free to reach out to our support if you have any other questions! We're available 24/7.
Another question, am I unable to use Shopify without a US bank account?
I read through https://www.shopify.ca/legal/terms-payments-us and some topics here on how to get paid and that's what it looks like. They maybe outdated but I haven't found anything different yet.
I'd hoped to get stripe to receive payments and then send it to Payoneer.
Using Paypal Express Checkout is starting to look impossible.
Hi,
In paysera websire they said that i can use it in all sites that accepts VISA or has Visa branding on them.
am i missing something here ?
Hello,
I want to add an option for checkout on my website when the customer doesn't need to log in to the paypal account, more like a guest check out with accepting card payments. I've been reading https://help.shopify.com/manual/payments/paypal/let-customers-pay-without-account but look what's appering on my website at checkout . So i read more about this on the paypal website https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/About-Payments-Archive/Accept-credit-card-payments-without-account/td-p/655215?profile.language=en and it says there
" Next, there are specific reasons the Credit Card Option may not be available to your customers.
* You are using Express Checkout. Express Checkout requires a PayPal Account
* You are using the wrong email address or an unverified email address.
* The country you reside in. Not all countries have all the PayPal features available.
* The country your customers reside in. Not all countries have all PayPal features available.
* The IP address of your hosted site is on a blocked list. "
I want to assure this doesn't work and i found another thing https://www.paypal.com/ro/selfhelp/article/how-do-i-accept-credit-cards-with-express-checkout-using-the-guest-checkout-option-ts1623 is says here
" With an Express Checkout custom-coded solution, there is an additional step: set SOLUTIONTYPE to Sole in your initial SetExpressCheckout API call.
Many third-party carts provide an Enable Guest Checkout option in the Administration view of their Express Checkout module. "
I looked out and shopify doesn't have a custom coded solution. In my admin dashbord at settings>payment providers i have just paypal express checkout. What can i do to accept card payments on my website without enter in paypal account?
I have spent hours entering the weights of our products and available box sizes into the shipping calculator with boxify aimng at accurate shipping rates for customers to chose from. I have negotiated rates with UPS that Boxify requires as the rates they show to the customer. I have chosen all of the rates I want to offer in my shopify settings. Boxify will show the UPS rates close to my negotiated rates though after the order is placedI have access to the more deeply discounted Shopify UPS rates. Boxify says Shopify won't allow Boxify to show the more discounted rates. In addition to the customers being overcharged, customers are being chased off by the very high rates that UPS charges small businesses. I believe that paying Shopify AND Boxify should give me the abilitly to show the lower prices to the customer. I believe I am paying for that. Another issue with Boxify is their refusal to offer USPS services that are available and selected on Shopify. I may be moving my stoer to a different platform because of the fundamental issue.
Anybody have any imput on this?
Hi Rachel, That's a great question. Behind the scenes, what is needed to show rates to customers, is a very different step than what is need to actually generate the shipping label. That's why only the former is available for Fedex. For USPS, UPS etc, Shopify has an inbuilt label print feature.
I think you can easily solve this problem using one of the shipping apps in the appstore.
As a shameless plug, our app Ordoro can solve this problem for you. And if your volume is really low, you may fit into our free plan and you can print Fedex labels without any additional costs
Almost yes, with a slight modification to the workflow you described. For example, our multi-platform app Ordoro can import orders from all those channels (Shopify/Amazon/eBay/Etsy) all into a central dashboard. And then you can select all those orders and create shipping labels (or do other forms of fulfillment) from within the app. And once those tracking numbers are generated inside Ordoro, it will automatically post those tracking numbers back to the source of the order (Shopify/Amazon/eBay/Etsy).
So, it's not quite doing exactly what you said - i.e., gather all orders into Shopify and then fulfill from there. But it's solving the same multi-channel problem in a different way by helping you gather all those orders into one place and manage them in one place.
I hope that helps.
Hi Charlie,
The section you'll want to make those changes can be found under Settings > Payment Providers. Hit Edit on Shopify Payments and you'll see this section where you can edit the customer billing statement.
Hope that helps! - J
Does proonto handle your customer service tickets and phone calls along with the pre-sales tactics they advertise?
I'm thinking about using them for my site.
I believe with almost all gateways it’s the customer that pays it. But it depends on their bank, not all will charge it.
Not sure if this helps, but there are Multi Currency apps that can actually bill in the different currencies too. This, for example, is one that does https://apps.shopify.com/multi-currency

Now you can use 2checkout in Thailand. It support Thai bath (THB) now. And you can contact me by adding my Whatsapp business +66815736943 or Line ID: @jadecommerce (have @ infront of my name) for set up this payment gateway for your store or consult with me about it and other Shopify store development.
Does anyone know which payment gateway allows you to authorize a customer's card and hold for a period longer than 7 days before charging? I would like to set up a pre-sale using the instruction on this page:

Hello everyone,
I intend to set up a store with worldwide delivery with products dropshipped from AliExpress. I understand that I can select AliExpress products that has epacket delivery to US which has tracking information. However, a lot of AliExpress shipping methods do not have tracking information for worldwide delivery. How should I handle this issue? I understand that Paypal tend to hold the funds if tracking information is not provided. Should I just limit my store to deliveries within US only?
As I am just starting up I will not be using fulfillment services at this point.
I'm exploring the option to provide my customers with in store credit, the only problem is that I can't finance this option. was wondering if there is a 3rd party that could give my customers credit to purchase products on my store. Meaning I get paid in full and my customer have a payment agreement in place with the 3rd party credit provider. I know there is companies like afterpay & futurepay but they don't allow merchants from other countries, and I'm from South Africa.
Hi J,
Thanks for the quick response but unfortunately that's exactly my point. We've edited that setting to show up as the store name but it's still showing up as Stripe.
Let me see if I can get a screenshot or something.
Regards,
Charlie
