Definitely would like to see NMI (Network Merchants) integration with Shopify. This is one of the leading gateways in the US and has many acquiring partners as it allows partners to white label the gateway. Fees similar to Authorize.net so very competitive, superior customer support, great fraud program and integrations to almost every processor. I am very surprised Shopify is not already integrated to NMI.

Hi, I'm from the Philippines and I'm having the same issue. Where do I check my options? I also have a personal Paypal account and will check with them if it's possible for me to do what you advised. Also, is it possible to change the currency on my shop to USD?

What nobody in shopify dares to say by German Arango Lombana

When I wanted to have a virtual store and I started to find out through google about the best options I found a lot of literature in English about the wonders of the shopify dropshipping system. This convinced me to use this platform and currently I have two stores dedicated to selling shoes for Colombia.

It's been 4 months since I opened the first one and I've made 5 sales and I'm making a big effort not to give up so fast and hold on a bit more.

However, something that nowhere noticed by shopify managers or any of those who promote it is the delay in deliveries from AliExpress. And this has been my main problem because other stores in Colombia deliver their products in only 3-5 days (including Amazon from USA). In this time of immediacy where everyone wants to have their things in a very short time, convince customers to place their order with a delivery time of more than 30 days is very, very difficult.

I have already written 4 post about this topic in this forum and nobody has answered about what to do to lighten this delivery time.

Nor has anyone told me that they have had experience in other countries such as USA, Mexico, Spain, United Kindom and other about the time it takes an order for them.

It seems that this is a taboo subject for those in charge of managing the platform because if people find out their business would fall apart.

I am going to wait a reasonable time to see the results of this concern, but I am sure that if my business fails it is precisely because of this serious inconvenience and if that happens, I will be responsible for disclosing in all possible ways about what nobody says about times greater than 30 days in the delivery of products, time that nobody is willing to wait.

Hi ! Thank you for your answer!
I'm so new at this ... by "gateway", you mean payment platform?
You're right, I'm using PagSeguro to receive Brazilian orders, and PayPal for the rest of the world.

Your solution, if I understood it, is to block payment from oustide in PagSeguro, and Brazilian payment in PayPal. Am I right ??
Not sure I know how to use the fraud program. But I'm going to do some research !

Thank you for your precious message!

Julie

Hi William,

Nick here from Shopify. 😃

I completely get what you mean. With regards to reaching out to Shopify before about this, I can say, the shipping aspect and costs are not something Shopify can control in any way. For example, Shopify is not able to dictate a cheaper shipping rate with USPS or UPS. This is something either USPS, UPS or any other delivery service would have control over.

What you can do is look into the best and most efficient way to leverage the shipping to work for you. The first thing I recommend you looking into is Shopify Shipping. Shopify Shipping display's calculated rates to your customers and get reduced shipping rates from USPS, DHL Express, and UPS. If you would like to look into some shipping apps, you can see all the Shopify related shipping apps here, which range in price. Although it has a cost attached to it, the most popular app for shipping in the app store is Better Shipping, and is at least worth a look.

I hope this helps clarify some things and points you in the right direction for your best next step. Don't hesitate to ask should you have any other questions about anything.

All the best,

Nick

Hi, Knowpein.

Max, again.

Have you received an order on your shop already using PayPal as the payment method? If not, it would be worth doing a test order  yourself to complete the PayPal set up.Your last message makes me think you've chosen PayPal as a payment method, but you've not completed the connection yet. This would prompt you to do so after completing an order and send payment to a new account with your Shopify account email.

  • When you attempt a test order, are you still receiving this error message?

If you already have a PayPal account, I'd suggest connecting these details to your Shopify admin. This can be done by deactivating your current PayPal set up and connecting the correct details like this. I'd also suggest confirming that the details of your current PayPal account support this currency!

If the issue persists, please let us know some more details over email so we can review your settings and authenticate your shop access!

Cheers,
Max

Hi, Dwayne.

Max, again.

I'd suggest a few different things to look into.

Have you added a shipping policy to your online store? We have some templates that you could edit and add to your online store. Additionally, I'd suggest adding an FAQ page that addresses average delivery times, shipping origin, where to go for updates, and include contact information.

Have you thought about some good customer experiences that you've had when purchasing from other shops? Who do you buy from, or see as a competitor that offers good shipping value and options? A degree of transparency and accessible self-help is important, no matter where the products are coming from. For example, shipping from the States might be a more central location to most of your market. This could help with speed of deliveries, less pollution, etc. Perhaps more ethical or high quality stock is available at this address. What information shared here would be relevant to your clientele?

Have you considered the after purchase flow for your customers?

Have you consulted with a tax expert in your area about any implications on what you are selling and from where? That would be one more thing to consider for yourself!

I hope some of that information is helpful. If you did have any follow-up questions, please let us know. we'd be happy to share some more information at any point!

Cheers,
Max

Error with Mastercard Payment?? by carmelo

My customers want to buy from my store, but the quickpay system does not work. When customers buy and pay for the product, they find the error "Validation error: no buyer is found on the transaction and no buyer can be determined by the request".
I do not have a mastercad or a visa card, but does the quickpay system work without it? Is it a digital wallet?

Hello,

I hope someone can help me out. I've set up an online store in the Czech Republic but unfortunately I am unable to use any of the payment gateway providers currently offered by Shopify. I would like to integrate a well-known Czech payment gateway provider (GP webpay) with my store. Can this be done and if so, how?

I don't have much coding experience so I hope it's not going to be overly complicated!

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Could You write me an email to discuss integration?

just happened to me,

Refunded and the orange 'unfulfilled' is staring at me, can't this complete order get it's own section tab. A Refunded tab or a Cancelled tab would be great next to the current Unfulfilled/Partially Fulfilled where these orders can be stored

Hi AT,

Are you a programmer? I'm currently in the process of applying for one of the local payment gateways and should that succeed, I should be provided with API documents.

Payment failure "verification.disabled_reason" by teamwerk

Hi all,

I have a problem on my live store where customer paying with their CC's are getting this notification:"This Custom account cannot currently make live charges. The 'verification.disabled_reason' property on the account will provide information about why this account is currently disabled."

However, from looking at the forums - one solution was that a payment gateway was not set up. In this case, I already have Shopify Payments running... and everything was working perfect until a few weeks ago?

Thanks for your help!

Hi there,

Nick here from Shopify.

That does seem odd for sure. Would it be possible to share the URL for your store please and we can take a closer look at this for you? Without seeing the store and taking a peek, it's hard for us to troubleshoot what exactly could be causing this.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Accepting US currency in Australia by Brendan L

Hi there,

I'm focusing on the US market however they aren't going to want to buy from me in AUD.

I'd hate to have to remove Shopify Payments, it'd be such a hassle. Is there anything I can do?

I see it's powered by Stripe, can I get the standalone stripe that would accept other currency?

Thanks,

Brendan

Hi Carmelo,

Nick here from Shopify.

I took a look into this further for you. Everything seems to be working fine and set up correctly within Shopify for you. From what you have mentioned it seems like it is something on the Quickpay side of things.  It would be a case of adding a card to your third party quick pay account or, if that's not possible, your best bet here would be to reach out to Quickpay directly (support@quickpay.net) about what other options you might have if that is not possible.

Hope this helps!

Nick

Hi Julie,

Nick here from Shopify.

There are three payment gateways which Shopify has partnered up with, in Ghana. You can see them below:

  • BitPay
  • GoCoin
  • Coinbase Commerce.

You can see the Shopify page for this by clicking here also.

Don't hesitate to ask any other questions. 😃

If I adding a mastercard at my quickpay account, the payment will upload on my mastercard?

Hi Carmelo,

That is something you would need to discuss with Quickpay directly as it would be through their set up and external to Shopify. Reaching out to them from the email above or the link would be best.

Nick
