Have you been placing a test order on your own store here?

I've had a look through their 2Checkout's own info docs on this one, and it seems like it can be caused due to a couple of different reasons. Feel free to have a look through these here

While other forum users may be able to chime in with their own personal experiences, the best thing in this case, would usually be to have a look at the details of the order from within your Orders> abandoned checkouts section, and to chat to 2checkout support directly

After doing so, if there is anything at all we can help you out with, do please reach out to us at support@shopify.com.

 If I already use Shopify as my payment porcessor, must I switch to Authorize.net or one of the other porcesors in order to use a subscription/membership payment app? Is there any app that does this but works with Shopify payments?

Hi Shopify,
I am writing to you from Estonia, I am a small online shop owner (www.ehestu.ee) in Estonia and have been using Shopify for almost two years now. I am very happy with almost everything about Shopify. There is only one thing that needs fixing, which has been noted by multiple other Estonian online shop owners. Due to this problem a lot of small business owners do not start their online shop on the shopify platform and opt for another platform, which provides the right payment services. Most of the online payments in Estonian online shopping are executed using direct bank links, such as iDeal in the Netherlands, since many people do not own a credit card here. 

The problem: Although, Shopify allows to integrate paypal and credit card payments in Estonia, there is no gateway or provider of bank links for banks such as Swedbank, SEB, Nordea etc. One of the biggest service providers has already voiced their concern regarding this, as they would be interested in developing a payment service for shopify in the Baltic states: https://makecommerce.net

I believe that if Shopify would contact them and support them in developing the gateway, they could substantially increase the number of online shops opened in the Baltic states on their platform, since most of the small and medium sized business owners are currently opting for your local competitors (Online shop platforms), which do provide those much needed bank links. 

My request to you, Shopify, is that please contact Makecommerce and ask them to develop an gateway for Estonia and the other Baltic states. This is very much needed by all the merchants I have been in contact with over the two years, and I believe there is many more who would join if they knew Shopify supported this gateway.

Hi,

I was wondering if instead of removing the estimated dates completely, could I revise it so it adds a few days to the estimated time?  I find the estimated times that show up are unrealistic to that actual time it takes for the orders to be shipped even if we were able to ship immediately when the order has been placed.  I would like to still show an estimate for how long it will take for the order to be received.

Free shipping for additional items? by Paula Martignetti

Is there a way to offer free shipping for ADDITIONAL items that ship together in an order? I want to be able to charge shipping on 1 item (the highest shipping charge of the total of their items), then every other item they purchase in that order to 'ride for free' with the paid shipping of 1 item.

 

Example: customer purchases 3 items in an order:

  • one item has $6.00 shipping;
  • one item is $5.00 shipping;
  • and the last item is $4.00 shipping.

The shipping charge would be the one highest shipping charged ($6.00). I want to whole order to ship for $6.00.

 

This is how i have always set my Ebay and Etsy store. Is it possible to have that option on on Shopify?

 

If that is not possible, then my second thought would be: if not free shipping for additional items, can additional items be charged only a minimal amount, such as $.50 per additional item?

Hey Kathryn, 

I'm Zuzanna, from the team here at Shopify :)

Right now, the way most recurring subscription apps work is they allow you to keep Shopify Payments as your main payment provider, this will be used for any purchases that aren't recurring within your store. Then they also allow you to set up a payment provider that works with their specific app, along with Shopify Payments. Essentially, you will have two payment providers working alongside each other on your store, one for non-subscription based products and the other for subscription based products. 

These apps are all created by third party developers, so if you had any more questions about how that set up works, you can reach out to them directly. Here are some of the apps that will let you do this:

How to setup AD TO CART to take customer straigh to cart? - Venture Theme by Noel

One comment I had today was that a customer thought the shop wasn't working on mobile becasue when she clicked "ADD TO CART" the shop didn't take her to cart.

The product had been added but she would have prefered to automaticlly be taken to cart once it had been clicked.

Is there a setting to make this happen in the Venture Theme?

Financing options for International Customers by Drustar

Hello,

I apologise if this question has been done to death already, however I can't seem to find any concrete answers.  My company offers Electronic Devices to a worldwide community of buyers (Australia, US, Canada, EU, APAC etc) and I would like to be able to offer financing options for purchases as little as $400.  All the big names only offer localised financing so without having to go to every single country and set up a different service......

DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A GLOBAL FINANCING SERVICE???  Online transactions, quick response, we get paid upfront.. etc etc.  Just like a PayPal service for the US.

Hi all, 

I'm looking a way to let customers to pick carriers that i found myself to ship (one within 8 days, other 14-20 days, and automatically calculate costs by weight also). But i only see even an advanced user account can only pick carriers from a given list like UPS, Fedex.

So is there  way to set like this?

Example:

 Select  "Carrier A (8 days)"  → $10

 Select  "Carrier B (14-20 days)"  → $20

 

Im using trial account. Plan to use basic account after trail.

Hey David!

I've worked in fraud detection for years in eCommerce, and I can tell you that the absolute best thing you can do to reduce chargebacks is the third-point from Zuzanna. You will need to be able to verify that this order is valid. 

It may sound discriminatory, but you have to be very careful with orders to Southeast Asian (Indonesia), the Indian subcontinent, and the Middle East. The majority of eCommerce fraud I've detected and prevented has been focused on these three areas. Be careful -- it's true. Better safe than sorry.

Hi all,

I know shopify payment only when your store based in one of the few countries .Just wondering how Shopify define where my store is based? By bank account? Business Registration? 

By the way, if Shopify Payment is not supported in my country but i want to use Stripe to get paid by credit card, will I be charged twice from Shopify credit card charge and Sitrep transaction fee?

My accountant has just spotted we havent been receiving payouts from Stripe since April 2016, 14 months, they owe me nearly 6000 euros. !!!!

I contacted Stripe  by emaill yesterday, tried again today, and used an internal contact link.

I have checked our dashboard, all seams to be set up correctly, we were receiving payouts regularly prior to April 2016.

The rolloing amount they owe me rolls back a day each day as the payout date, today it says paying out on 15 June , 7 days from now.

We have some clients shipping from US to China via cross-border shipping methode. They use U-feight (Hong Kong port), or DTW (Shanghai port). Basically shipping to a storage place in one of the port, and then the shipping companies will repackage your products and ship them to the end users.  

I help foreign companies to sell via WeChat working for this company

Hey Noel, 

I'm Zuzanna, from the team here at Shopify :)

There is a way to do that with the Venture theme! This will be something you will do within the Storefront Editor for your theme. So to get there, you'll want to head to Online Store>Themes>Customize theme. Then when you're there, you can follow the steps on this page of our Shopify Manual. Scroll down to the section called 'Change the layout of your product pages' and the steps there will show you how to edit a few different features surrounding the product pages within your store, and step 4 specifically touches on whether you want customers to stay on the product page when they add something to their cart, or if you want them to get taken to the cart page.
