Like Daryoush said, I can't stress enough the importance of contacting a customer with this sort of disrecpancy .

Realize that if you lived on a different continent than the associated credit card, you'd likely be a bit understanding if you ordered something and a merchant elected to confirm the purchase with you. Just apply this sense of reason to the customer. :D 

Also understand that fraudsters frequently employ the same tactics repeatedly. If this pattern reminds you (or Shopify) of previous fraudulent patterns, then this information coupled with the disparity in billing and shipping addresses raises several red flags. 

I don't think you should accept this payment without clear confirmation from the customer. Good luck out there!

The store I'm supporting is using two 'Custom order fulfillment'. Lets call them Red and Blue.

As far as I know, every item has a 'fulfillment service'  property that must be one of these two options.

If an all the items in an order have fulfillment service set to Red then the order is sent to Red to be fulfilled. If an all the items in an order have fulfillment service set to Blue then the order is sent to Blue to be fulfilled. If an order has items from Red and Blue then an fulfillment request is sent to Red with the Red items and to Blue with the Blue items.

 

What I'm after is, is there a way to have it so that if an order contains one or more items with Blue set as its 'fulfillment servece' then ony one Fulfiment request is sent to Blue?

I have a customer who is getting this error message and I can't seem to figure out why and can't replicate the bug. We have been getting plenty of orders from the United States, but he is getting this bug. Any ideas why this would be happening? Here are the screenshots he sent to me.

It's definitely hard to say what could be happening here without taking a look into your store's settings, but it can definitely be a number of different things, from a shipping app you're using having downtime, to some of your product weights missing. I took a look myself, and with the exact same product and address, I had no issues with getting any shipping rates, so I would recommend getting your customer to try again. If they are still seeing the issue, reach out to our support team here so we can take a look at the back end of your store!

Ann - thanks for the quick response! It is strange because it happened on two different days for him, that is why I don't think it's the API retrieving the USPS rates. I will try to get him on the phone to see if we can replicate it.

Hi,

 

We sell oversized items such as vanities/sinks/etc and was wondering what would be the best way to integrate shipping for these items within Shopify? Is there a third party app to download? Should i contact reps at a local shipping company? If so I would need those prices to integrate into our site so that customers are able to see their shipping quote upon checkout.

First off, I wish to apologize for the troubles that you've been facing so far. But let's get started on finding a solution right away. 

There is a payout period of 4 business days between the date that an order is paid and the date that the money is sent to your bank account. I can assure you that if a payout does fail, there is only a temporary hold placed on your pending payouts. Once the issue has been resolved, all outstanding payouts will be deposited into the account. 

Now, a failed payout can occur for a number of reasons. In order to properly troubleshoot the issue, I will need you to email out to our support channels (support@shopify.com) with the Account Owner email we have on file. Highlight the issue thus far and you will be provided a ticket number. Reply back here with that number and we can continue on with our support.

While it is always encouraged to look into the different Payment Providers to see which will work best for your business, I can personally recommend Authorize.net simply due to its wide availability. My other suggestion would be 2Checkout, however, I have heard some drop shipping business have had difficulties using their services.

Hey there! You can definitely outsource fulfillment of gigantic objects, but have you ever looked into shipping these products for free and then building the price of shipping into the product price? Not only will your perceived product value go up, but you'll also circumvent the biggest obstacle you're currently facing. Sounds like a win-win situation for you and the customer!

I want a customer to return a broken product. How do I create a packing slip without creating an order, to send to her, to stick onto the box?

The address is different to where it came from.

I want to operate a Shopify drop shipping store in the USA but I am resident in UK so cannot use the Shopify payment service. What is the best low cost alternative as Stripe will not handle drop shipping?

Hey there guys.

I'll try to explain this really quick:

I do have a physical store and my online shop in Germany. For some of the products I do offer online, I am not allowed to sell them anywhere else but Germany. 

So how do I edit my settings or my products, so that I can say: "I do NOT want to send/sell this specific product anywhere but Germany" ?

There are apps in our App Store that can help you with this! for example, check out Shippo, it's an app that lets you buy a return shipping label for your customers! Then you can send it to your customer and they can use it to return your order. Once you download the app, you can reach out to Shippo's support team by emailing support@goshippo.com if you have any questions.

In my setting paymet, i don't see the 2checkout menu. Mean while my friend have this menu. 

How can i get access to 2checkout menu.

Hey Fu, 

I'm Ann, from the team here at Shopify :)

It's hard to say for sure why this option isn't appearing for you without seeing the settings for your store, but what might be happening is that you have a payment gateway set up there instead. In this case, all you have to do is deactivate the current payment gateway so you can activate a new one- since you can only have one active gateway for credit card processing at a time. Check out the steps on this page in our Shopify Manual to see how you can do that. 

I hope this helps! If you're not seeing that in your store, then there might be something else going on. Can you reach out to our support team directly through any methods listed on this page and we can take a closer look?
