I'm running a business from New Zealand and we're just looking into the idea of working with a fulfillment service so that we can deliver more efficently within the United States. I was just wondering how it would be best to handle the inventory numbers with multiple distribution locations. eg, if our stock drops to 0 in the US, but we still have 10 in New Zealand, how can we make that product available to purchase in NZ, but not in the US?
I was imagining creating duplicates of each product tagged with their location. Then have the website setup so customers could 'switch location'. So that when a customer's location is 'New Zealand', they see pages with products taged as 'NZ' and vice versa. Is it possible to code this or is there a better/more obvious solution?
