Form instead of "Add to Cart?" by Matthew Greig

I ship most of my stuff freight or white glove which I have to manually quote - there is no integrated cart option for those services.

And for the type of stuff I sell, I prefer to open a dialogue with the customer rather than have them just hit "add to cart" and type in their credit card information.

Does anyone know of a template out there (or a way - Shopify feature request here) to replace the "add to cart" button with an "inquire about this product" button which would pop up a  simple form (name, address, email, questions/comments text block). I get the form submission and contact them, set up an order, etc.

Also does anyone know if Shopify offers an easy set up of custom orders? Etsy does this very well - I can create an order specific to a customer. So the idea is someone uses the form to get my attention, we talk, figure out shipping, etc., and then I set the whole thing up as a custom order.

Otherwise I guess I could just invoice them outside of Shopify, which I'd almost prefer because I save the 2% and I haven't seen a decent looking cart in any theme I've explored yet.
