Hi guys,
I'm having a similar problem to a few others who have posted here but I figured I would see if anyone could help me anyway.
It's kind of the same old story, I'd like to be able to restrict the option to select "Local delivery/pick up" to people within a certain radius of my brick and mortar store. I'm not really interested in paying for a more expensive plan to get real time shipping as I've already had to pay for countless apps on top of my monthly Shopify fee to do quite simple tasks that I assumed were commonplace for an online platform.
The problem I'm having is that people from other states/rural areas are selecting local delivery and I'm losing sales trying to chase up the customers and get them to replace the order but with the correct shipping option. I end up looking quite unprofessional.
Because my radius is quite small, I'm thinking there might be a way for the checkout to read the postcode put in by the customer, check it against a list of post codes that I've deemed close enough, and then make the decision to display the option for local delivery/pick up.
Would anyone know if this is possible or perhaps another solution to my problem? I can't blame my customers for selecting free local delivery - if the option is there you must assume it can be done.
Thanks in advance.
