Close topic to what I need, thank you for asking the question. Is there a sitewide option to *not* charge tax (tax is included with the products) and also a sitewide option so that the "This product requires shipping." is *not* checked?

I did set "All taxes are included in my prices" in the tax settings. I thought this would make the store default to not having to uncheck the tax box for each individual product but not seeming to work that way.

All products in this store are digital downloads so tax is already included and no shipping required.

Hello guys,

I am basically looking to hear from Indian shop owners about how they ship their products. What apps and services do you use to automate it or link it to your shopify store? Any specific courirer companies that are better?

I am currently using Kartrocket's Shiprocket service. Its been quite good. I have their basic service which gives me access to 4 different courier companies Gojavas, Aramex, ECOM and FEDEX. I mainly use Gojavas as their service has been prompt and charges are quite less compared to Fedex. Experience with Shiprocket has been good but they do have some down time sometimes which gets irritating as it delays my shipment. But the benefit is they build you a private app that integrates with your shopify store which means you can import orders from shopify onto their shipping platform. Its not perfect and has its flaws but its manageable. This is why i wanted to see what the other options are. I know there is https://apps.shopify.com/delhivery-indian-logistics-service which gives options of 3 courier companies. But my worry is those 3 dont cover all the pin codes.

Are there any other options? Any advise or just to hear how the other stores are doing it in India will be great to hear.

Paymill has filed for insolvency a few months ago, and has recently changed ownership.

For credit card payments I would advise to use Stripe. Very easy to to use & setup, even for a german shop.

I really hope that Shopify will work on integrating PayPal Plus, especially after they said they will not support Klarna.

Hello hope all is well,

I've set up Check out with Amazon and tried to have a go to ensure its working, but it wont let me click through with the pay with amazon button, it's there on the checkout but doesn't do anything?

Could anyone be able to assist me with what i may have done wrong?

Hello Félix,

Keegan here from the Shopify Guru team.

Currently Shopify supports 3 gateways that have 3D Secure installed. You can checkout the three gateways below!

As for the gateway you mentioned, Shopify lets companies build into our checkout through activemerchant so you may want to ask them why they may have not installed it yet directly to Shopify (to allow you to use it with us).

I are going to open shop here. Can I arrange shipment by myself? Usually, I will go to postoffice and ship my product. I don't like to have shopify to ship product out.

You are more then welcome to set up your own shipping via your local postal service, in fact, shipping logistics is not a service that Shopify provides in the first place :) 

To help you set up your shipping, you should definitely have a read of our comprehensive Shipping Guide

We also have some more shipping practice advice here, in our blog.

You'll need to decide on a shipping strategy, so consultation with your postal service would be a good idea :) Do they calculate cost by weight, or value of the items? See if they can give you a pricing guide to that effect, from which to structure your rates.

If you run into any issues with setting up your rates, please drop us a line on our email support channel, here, and we can advise on how to complete the set up :)

Problem with Paypal (session expired while trying to pay) by John Bardin

Hello,

So I've pretty much finished my new store, and I am now checking if Paypal is working well for payments (for paypal acounts and credit cards).

Everytime, everything seems to work fine, until the very last step where it tells me that the session expired and I need to connect again.

I've tried 3 different browsers, with 2 credit cards, and my Paypal account seems to be well configured.

Any help would be appreciated, as I have no idea where the problem is coming from...

Are preorders allowed when you are using Shopify Payments? I am looking to expand into adding preorder products as well since most of my competitors do. Two of them I know use Shopify but I am unaware of the payment processor. What are the rules for offering preorders? I know to charge right away (what we have to do with Shopify Payments) that we have to make it explicit that the item is a preorder and give an estimate for release date. It sounds like it should work but is there an explicit time frame we have to ship in? It's usually 15-60 days but can extend up to 90. My main concern is chargebacks negatively effecting our account from preorders. We allow customers to cancel preorders without any kind of fee or condition. What are some methods we can impliment to help guard against this potential issue? Can customers cancel their own orders on Shopify through their account on our store?

Hi Nivas,

     Send a mail to service@ccavenue.com , salessupport@ccavenue.com and they should help. This is the response I got from them and once they whitelisted it, things worked fine for me

"We would like to inform you that the URL - https://secure.ccavenue.com is not registered yet to your account as you are a shopify merchant so the mentioned URL should be registered"

Then they white listed it and updated me as

"This is in reference to your mail below, Please note https://secure.ccavenue.com has been white listed in your CCAvenue account."

Hi, 

 

we have a lot of customers that want's to have this feature, too. So they can offer COD. Now it's the problem, that somebody buys it and the COD additional price has to be payed by the Shop Owner. 

Many of them are very angry but i can't offer a solution. 

Would be great, if i could. Is there anything new on this?
